Overview

The AC4990EXF-114 is a high-performance embedded GNSS antenna featuring Accutenna® 4 technology, engineered for precision across all major satellite constellations. It supports full-band reception from:

  • GPS/QZSS: L1, L2, L5, L6
  • GLONASS: G1, G2, G3
  • Galileo: E1, E5a, E5b, E6
  • BeiDou: B1, B2, B2a, B3
  • NavIC: L5
  • SBAS: WAAS (North America), EGNOS (Europe), MSAS (Japan), GAGAN (India)
  • L-band Corrections

Advanced Antenna Architecture

At its core, the AC4990EXF-114 integrates a precision-tuned, twin circular quad-feed stacked patch element mounted on a 114 mm diameter ground plane PCB. Signals from four orthogonal feeds are combined via a feed network, amplified through a wideband low-noise amplifier (LNA), then split into bands for narrow filtering and further amplification before final recombination at the output.

This architecture delivers:

  • Exceptional axial ratio for superior multipath mitigation
  • Tightly grouped phase center variation (≤ 2 mm from zenith to 15° elevation)
  • Reliable performance across all supported bands

Interference Mitigation

With increasing congestion in the RF spectrum due to emerging LTE bands and satellite communications, GNSS antennas face growing challenges. The AC4990EXF-114 is specifically designed to counteract interference from:

  • Ligado signals (1525–1536 MHz)
  • LTE Band 32 (Europe): 1452–1496 MHz
  • LTE Bands 11 & 21 (Japan): 1476–1511 MHz
  • Inmarsat uplink: 1626.5–1660.5 MHz

Calian’s proprietary XF filtering technology effectively suppresses out-of-band signals, ensuring optimal GNSS receiver performance and preventing antenna saturation.

Robust Integration & Support

The embedded design includes eight screw holes for secure mounting and seamless integration. Calian offers comprehensive support to assist integrators in achieving optimal installation and antenna performance.
