Overview

The AC4990PXF is a high-performance GNSS antenna featuring Accutenna® 4 technology and precision-tuned for full-band, multi-constellation support. It delivers exceptional accuracy and reliability across a wide range of applications, including surveying, autonomous navigation, and precision agriculture.

Comprehensive Signal Support

This antenna supports all major GNSS constellations and signals:

  • GPS/QZSS: L1, L2, L5, QZSS-L6
  • GLONASS: G1, G2, G3
  • Galileo: E1, E5a, E5b, E6
  • BeiDou: B1, B2, B2a, B3
  • NavIC: L5
  • SBAS: WAAS (North America), EGNOS (Europe), MSAS (Japan), GAGAN (India)
  • L-band Corrections

Advanced Antenna Architecture

The AC4990PXF features a stacked patch element with a twin circular quad-feed design. Signals from four orthogonal feeds are:

  • Combined via a feed network
  • Amplified through a wideband low-noise amplifier (LNA)
  • Band-split for narrow filtering
  • Further amplified and recombined at the output

This architecture ensures:

  • Excellent axial ratio for multipath mitigation
  • Tightly grouped phase center variation (≤ 2 mm from zenith to 15° above horizon)

Interference Mitigation

With increasing congestion in the RF spectrum due to LTE and satellite communications, GNSS performance can be compromised. The AC4990PXF is engineered to counteract interference from:

  • Ligado signals (1525–1536 MHz)
  • LTE Bands: Band 32 (Europe), Bands 11 & 21 (Japan)
  • Inmarsat uplink (1626.5–1660.5 MHz)

Calian’s custom XF filtering technology effectively blocks out-of-band signals, preventing antenna saturation and ensuring optimal GNSS receiver performance.

Rugged Design for Permanent Installations

The housed AC4990PXF includes:

  • A durable metallic base with a 5/8” mount hole
  • An integrated rubber bumper
  • A weatherproof enclosure for long-term outdoor use
